Hey You pretty people!
I’m Kait, a wedding and lifestyle photographer in Charleston, SC. I had my start in the fashion photo industry in NYC working at Hearst’s in-house photo studio, and I wouldn’t trade that experience for anything! While there I met amazing industry professionals and truly discovered how incredible weddings are thanks to so many of the talented people who worked alongside me. Moved back to the South and haven’t looked back! It’s too hard giving up southern charm and iced tea 🙂
I’ve since photographed over 300 couples in love and counting. It’s been the most amazing rollercoaster ride, and every year gets better. Meeting all you crazy in love couples is a constant blessing in my life! Oh, and I freakin love being a Charleston wedding photographer!
My fur babies are my world. They have the sassiest and sweetest souls, and aren’t content unless they are piled on top of you. They’re also a little spoiled. They refuse to sleep on anything but Icelandic sourced furs.
I like to embrace my inner Pink and circus performer by doing aerial arts in my free time. There’s nothing like spinning in the air and doing tricks in an oversized hoop or tangled up in a silk to make you feel like a superstar.
Traveling is one of my biggest passions. It inspires me to the fullest. I find few things as exciting as walking around a new city, especially in Europe, and getting absolutely lost in every aspect.
When I miss London, a good gin and tonic is always my pick-me up. It’s something I like to bring back with me on trips – local gins. So far, I’m loving several Icelandic varieties!
I adore everything about The Great Gatsby: the time period, the gorgeous language, and wild love story. I could read the book and watch the movie everyday.
My bookshelves are full of historical non-fiction, but mainly British and Italian histories. There’s nothing better than curling up and reading the histories of the Medici and Plantagenet families.
I have an extensive bucket list full of personal and photography related ambitions. I love being a Charleston wedding photographer and capturing stunning Charleston SC weddings. Being able to photograph a wedding in France, Greece, England, and Iceland are definitely at the top of that list (although I’m a fan of any destination)!
